AMWUA honors those dedicated to delivering an essential service

Check out AMWUA’s blog recognizing water professionals during this Arizona Water Professionals Appreciation Week.

The April 13, 2020, blog post starts by saying that “Arizona residents certainly know the value of water. Yet it is easy to forget the complex process and the extensive team of people it takes to get safe and secure water to our tap. And the important role all water professionals play has never been more evident than it is now.”

There is no doubt that it takes a very talented, dedicated team of people to ensure operations run smoothly. The ten AMWUA cities employ more than 2,500 water professionals, all of which are critical to the delivery of water to your tap.

AZ Central opinion piece on clean water and COVID-19

Check out the opinion piece published on AZ Central titled “Clean water is critical to stem the coronavirus pandemic. Here’s what you can do to help.” In addition to providing four ways to keep Arizona’s water supply clean and plentiful, the article gave Arizona Water Professionals Appreciation Week the following shout out:

Most of us rarely, if ever, stop to think about the water professionals our lives depend on, but this week is Arizona Water Professionals Appreciation Week, so we’d like to take a moment to suggest four simple ways we can show our gratitude for the individuals who are working to ensure clean water and sanitation during this crisis and at all other times.

Recognizing Essential Services of Arizona Water Professionals

Arizona Department of Water Resources posted a press release on azwaternews.com acknowledging Arizona Water Professionals Appreciation Week, April 12-19, 0202.

Like so much else, the COVID-19 virus has caused the cancellation of scheduled Arizona Water Professionals Appreciation Week events this year. That doesn’t mean we still can’t celebrate the essential services that the State’s water professionals provide.
